Founded on a Love of Architecture
Dublin Windows was founded by Jacob Skrzypczak and Adam Szoka with a mission to restore the original beauty of sash windows in period buildings across Ireland while introducing the latest advancements in glass and window fittings to improve their functionality and energy efficiency.
Hailing from Poland, a country renowned for some of the finest glass production in the world, the two craftsmen grew up surrounded by a rich variety of historic buildings from the Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic periods. This nurtured a deep appreciation of design and architecture, which led them to study carpentry before honing their craft under the mentorship of leading carpenters and window restorers in Poland and Ireland.
Harnessing their two decades’ worth of experience, Jacob and Adam established Dublin Windows, which offers a unique multi-faceted service that spans window restoration, maintenance and installation.
Carefully adhering to the architectural principles and complex prerequisites of listed buildings, Jacob and Adam have a highly driven “can do” approach to period window restoration and are always up for a challenge and take no shortcuts. They take great pride in their ability to repair even the most battered and neglected of sash windows in old cobweb-ridden buildings, reviving the original beauty of their faded facades while eliminating rattles and draughts that the strong ever-changing winds of Ireland so frequently present.
